Grapefruit Seed Extract [Citricidal] is a super powerful antimicrobial liquid concentrate. According to published sources, it is effective against more than 800 bacterial and viral strains, 100 strains of fungus, as well as a large number of parasites. It is being used to kill bacteria like Strep, Staph, Salmonella, E. Coli, and also to fight Candida yeast, Herpes, Influenza, eczema, and traveler's diarrhea. Feedback from many laboratories, doctors, veterinarians, farmers and consumers support the effectiveness of Grapefruit seed extract. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and economical, with no harmful side-effects. In South America, reports reveal that grapefruit seed extract has been tested effective against the measles virus. The US Dept. of Agriculture tested GSE and found it effective against four animal viruses: Foot and Mouth Disease, African Swine fever, Swine Vesicular Disease, and Avian influenza. Other laboratory tests have shown that grapefruit seed extract will kill pseudomonas, giardia, lysteria, legionella, helicobacter pylori and capyloacter jejuni. Researchers at the Pasteur Institute's hospital in Nairobi have been using grapefruit seed extract orally with HIV patients for over two years and report dramatic results with secondary infections, including parasitic infections and thrush.
Note about staph and Grapefruit Seed Extract [GSE]: The Boston Sunday Globe of March 2, 2003 reported on the increasing problems created by drug-resistant strains of staph, in particular. These strains are especially perilous when treated by conventional medical professionals, because there is no way for the patient - nor the doctor - to know up front that the disease is drug-resistant. To complicate matters further, staph can appear as pneumonia, a sinus infection, and a skin disorder. And staphyloccus aureus, normally a strain only caught in hospitals by people already seriously ill from other diseases, is now showing up, for example, at Fenway Community Health Center in Boston, and in similar 'clusters' of outbreaks recently in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It sounds scary, and it is scary to medical professionals who are not informed about grapefruit seed extract (GSE). In every lab test conducted on GSE and staph, the results have been most gratifying: minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC's) of only 2 - 6 parts per million (PPM) required to stop the growth of the organism. That is a very small amount of GSE! And anecdotally, we have heard from many parts of this country that GSE is effective against the drug-resistant strains. Dr. David Williams has done a good job of publicizing this fact.
Unlike antibiotics, Grapefruit seed extract does not seem to disturb beneficial gut bacteria.
Grapefruit seed extract can be used as a gargle for sore throats and gum infections; ear drops; nail fungus; skin infections.
You can take1 cup of distilled water with 10-20 drops for instant results of gas and bloating. It can be applied to acne, warts, skin irritations and problem nails, or it may be added to your shampoo to control dandruff. It may also be used as a douche. It may safely be used to clean fruits, vegetables and meats. Citricidal is the finest Grapefruit Seed available. It must always be diluted. Can be used in bath water (1 dropperful); also one drop can be added on your toothpaste before you brush to help with gum and teeth infections. It can be applied directly under toes to help toenail fungus. This is very strong and should always be diluted when putting on skin.
